Klaudia Gawlas: From Commodore 64 to Techno Titan
At just nine years old, Klaudia Gawlas was already mastering the keyboard and guitar. By thirteen, she made the leap to a Commodore 64, marking the beginning of her journey into electronic music. Gawlas had a detour to the US for studies in psychology and radio broadcasting. While in the US, Gawlas found herself immersed into the DJ scene. After her time in the US drew to a close, Gawlas was excited to get home to Europe and the pulsating beats of club music.
In 2013, Gawlas catapulted herself into the upper echelons of the techno world with the release of 'Papillon.' Since then, her calendar has been filled with prestigious bookings at TimeWarp, Mayday, Nature One, Awakenings, Tomorrowland, and a triumphant South American tour. Each sold-out show further solidified her status as a force to be reckoned with.
Gawlas's dedication to her craft has not gone unnoticed. In 2023, she was honored as Germany's Best National DJ, a testament to her electrifying performances and unwavering passion for music. Tracks like 'The Siren' on Joseph Capriati's Redimension label have opened doors, while support from industry heavyweights like Dubfire and Nicole Moudaber has cemented her reputation.
Not content with simply dominating the dance floor, Gawlas took the next step in her career in 2023 by launching her own label, Illusion Recordings. The debut single, 'YDK,' was met with eager anticipation from fans and critics alike, further solidifying Gawlas's position as a trailblazer in the techno scene.
From her humble beginnings tinkering with a Commodore 64 to headlining festivals and launching her own label, Klaudia Gawlas's journey is a testament to the power of passion and perseverance in the world of electronic music. As she continues to push boundaries and break barriers, one thing is clear: the techno titan shows no signs of slowing down.
