BIOGRAPHY
Where Buenos Aires Meets Berlin
Jose Bonetto is an Argentinian-Italian producer and DJ based in Berlin – a deeply focused techno artist with a well-defined personal sound and the chart positions to back it up. His music moves between the driving intensity of peak time techno and the raw, mechanical energy of hardgroove and warehouse, always anchored by a strong artistic identity.
His release career launched with an immediate statement: a debut on Thomas Schumacher's legendary label Electric Ballroom, in collaboration with A.D.H.S., which climbed to #20 on the Beatport Techno Peak Time Top 100 and earned support from Adam Beyer, Lilly Palmer, Fjaak, Stella Bossi and Eats Everything, among others. His debut EP on Metodi Hristov's Set About followed, with three of its four tracks simultaneously charting on Beatport – "1 a.m. Tram" at #26, "Orbital" at #38 and "Liberate Your Mind" at #89 – supported by Monika Kruse, Layton Giordani, Victor Ruiz and Alex Stein.
The momentum continued to build. His 2023 single "Magnetic Fields" on Lilly Palmer's Spannung Records became his highest-charting release to date, peaking at #3 on the Beatport Techno Peak Time Hype Top 100 and #12 on the main Techno Peak Time chart, with live support from Joyhauser, Bart Skils, Lilly Palmer and Sama Abdulhadi. His 2024 EP "Within", also on Spannung Records, landed on Spotify's official Techno Bunker playlist and was selected by Beatport as #1 in their Best New Techno chart. His 2025 single "Your Madness" continued this streak, hitting both Techno Bunker and Electronic Rising on Spotify with the ongoing backing of Amelie Lens, Space 92 and Eli Brown.
Alongside his solo work, Jose co-founded the side project Brychtta with producer Evlay, exploring a harder, more warehouse-driven sound. The duo has released two albums – "001" in 2024 and "Patada Voladora" in April 2025 – earning support from Daria Kolosova and Sol Ortega.
As a DJ, Jose has shared the booth with Lilly Palmer, Eli Brown, Thomas Schumacher, Umek, Deborah De Luca and Spektre, performing at some of Europe's most respected venues and events including Zurich Street Parade, Ritter Butzke, KitKat, Hive Festival, Anomalie Club and House of Weekend.
